Abortion pills in Bulacan: it would be unfair to bring a baby into a life we couldn’t support yet (entry # 198)

My abortion journey with Project 486

When I found out I was pregnant at 6 weeks, I honestly couldn’t believe it. At first, I thought my period was just delayed because I was under a lot of stress—I had just failed my board exams and cried for an entire week. But when two months passed and I still didn’t get my period, I knew something was different. I took a pregnancy test—first one was unclear, just a faint second line. My partner and I were in denial. We hoped it was just an evaporation line. But the second test was clear: two solid lines. Positive.

We were shocked. We’re both fresh graduates, just starting our adult lives. We’re not financially stable, mentally prepared, or emotionally ready to raise a child. We knew it was our responsibility—we created this life. But we also knew deep in our hearts that it would be unfair to bring a baby into a life we couldn’t support yet.

A friend introduced me to Project486, and that’s when I found Doc JJ. At first, I was scared. I didn’t know if it would be safe, if I could handle it, or if I’d regret it forever. But Doc JJ was kind, professional, and non-judgmental. I felt heard, guided, and safe throughout the process. He gave clear instructions, checked on me, and made sure I was okay the whole way.

Emotionally, it was one of the hardest decisions I’ve ever had to make. But I chose this out of love—for myself, my partner, and especially, for the baby. Because I want our child, when the time comes, to have the life they truly deserve.

To our angel baby, we love you so much. I hope you felt that love, even for a short while. I’m so sorry this wasn’t your time yet. Please come back to us when we’re ready—when we can give you a home full of peace, stability, and unconditional love.

To anyone going through the same thing—please know, you’re not alone. You are not a bad person. You’re just trying to do what’s best, even when it hurts. And I’m forever thankful to Doc JJ and Project486 for helping me through this painful but necessary decision.

  1. I never thought I’d be in this situation. Being pregnant at an early age and I’m scared. Hindi ko alam anong mangyayari both kami ng partner ko natatakot at hindi alam ang gagawin. While we were searching for a safe way to end the pregnancy, my partner found Project 486. We double-checked everything to make sure it’s legit—and now we’re here, trusting them. The procedure hasn’t started yet, pero buo ang tiwala namin. There’s a lot of proof that Project 486 is really good. I’m glad Project 486 exists. I haven’t started anything yet but I’m considering it.
