Baguio: After my abortion, I started the next day as if it’s a new life given to me (entry# 164)

I started the next day as if it’s a new life given to me. I owe it the life I gave up and to the people that helped me with kindness and understanding. I owe it to do better, to live better and pursue the things I have chosen while fully acknowledging the consequences of my decision.

It has been a few weeks after the successful procedure. I can say that I am in the process of recovery physically and emotionally.
A week before I took the pregnancy test, I was experiencing those common indications of pregnancy – nausea, lost appetite, dizziness, easily tired. I knew in my mind I might be pregnant but I was hoping I am not. I know it is illegal in the Philipppines. I know wala akong malalapitang clinic for voluntary miscarriage. So I had to do proper research. And there I found these articles of ladies talking about their experiences and how PROJECT486 helped them.

May 31, 2024 – I took a pregnancy test and it tested positive. I was doubtful of the results so I took the courage to consult to an Ob-Gyne and she confirmed it for me. I was six weeks pregnant. I do not know what I should be feeling that time but at the same time, I was feeling everything. And one that’s above everything else was anxiety. With all the mental exhaustion and pregnancy hormones, I emailed PROJECT486. I sent them a short message just asking for help to which they responded. They didn’t ask much regarding my personal details and I am very thankful for that.

It took me 2 weeks para maging buo yung desisyon ko for the procedure and they understood me. Dr. John, my assigned consultant, is very patient with me as I took my time in taking in information he provided and in preparing myself for the procedure. He thoroughly explained the procedure, clarified some misconceptions and warned against fake medications. I had done my research so I know I had to trust him.

The medications were sent discreetly and I started taking the first medication 2 days after receiving it. And again, they understood me. They didn’t rush me into undergoing the procedure even though it is best to do it early. First day, normal lang. I didn’t feel anything aside from the usual nausea caused by pregnancy. Second day, the nausea was a bit more intense than the usual but other than that, I felt okay.

Then on the third and final day, Dr. John reiterated all the steps of the procedure. He explained the important points I shouldn’t be missing. On the assigned time, I followed the instructions for the medicine required and prepped myself for the pillow maneuver position. I stayed awake and watched a movie on my phone to relax my mind. Two hours later, I started having abdominal cramps and I was advised to take pain reliever if the pain is too intense. I decided not to as I know I could manage it like the menstrual cramps I had before. Before I take and do anything, I ask Dr. John first and he was quick to guide and instruct me. Inulit-ulit ko talagang basahin yung mga instructions niya para wala ako ma-miss.

At 9PM, I started having chills and diarrhea. I updated them about it and assured me it is okay. They’re constant in reassuring me that it is okay. My back and hips hurt because of the maneuver pero kailangang tiisin. At midnight, I was allowed to sit and stand. I was anxious if I did it right or if it was successful and then an hour later, the POC came out. After doing the documentation, that’s when I broke down. I cried of relief, of guilt, of everything. Dr. John then affirmed that the procedure was successful. After the procedure, I was able to fall asleep.

I started the next day as if it’s a new life given to me. I owe it the life I gave up and to the people that helped me with kindness and understanding. I owe it to do better, to live better and pursue the things I have chosen while fully acknowledging the consequences of my decision.

PROJECT486 is legit and will guide you without judgment but with understanding, and that’s what we need, to be understood. Thank you PROJECT486.
