Abortion in Pasay City: Testimony of the Lone Damsel in Distress (entry #86)

Abortion in Pasay City

Patient’s name: Yvonne (alias)

location: Pasay City, Metro Manila

LMP (Last Menstrual Period): November 26, 2021 (regular)

First day of missed period: December 26, 2021

Date(s) of Unprotected Sex: Dec 24,2021  – January 2, 2022

Date of Medical Abortion Procedure: February 2-4, 2022

I panicked when I found out I was pregnant. It was unexpected because I
thought following the calendar method won’t impregnate me but I was wrong.
I might have miscalculated it. I didn’t tell anyone about it, even the
person who did it with me. Society can be harsh to people who don’t follow
the right norm. I was scared that everyone would judge me, so I kept it on
my own.

ABORTION CLINIC PASAY METRO MANILA

By the way, my name is Yvonne, 31, single and living alone in the city. I
moved here to help my family financially and to provide them a better way
of living. But having this extra baggage would be a problem and would
drastically change my life that I’m not ready for. A lot of times I’ve been
thinking whether I should go on with the pregnancy or not. I’m scared that
I won’t be able to raise my unborn child properly and I don’t want him/her
to experience hardships at an early age. Also my current state puts me to
the edge and made me decide to abort it as early as possible.

I searched online on ways to induce natural miscarriage. I was desperate. I
believe most of the unprepared women would do the same thing. I tried most
of the ways but they didn’t work. I started reading articles but they were
all just stories. I found sites that sell abortion medicines but I’m not
sure if they were genuine and they were also very expensive. I couldn’t
find what I was looking for. Then I tried reading the comments on blogs
hoping that I will find the information that I need. And I found it. One of
the comments said to check out project486.com. At first, to be honest I was
still a bit skeptical. I read the testimonies of the women that project486
helped and they convinced me and so I tried it out. I sent them a short
email. Few hours after, they replied and so it started.

I spoke with John. He gave me information on how the procedure is done and
how the medicines work. He also assured me that it is safe and effective as
long as I follow all the instructions. But of course, he also let me
understand that not all patients are the same, that’s why they took utmost
consideration on all the precautions and prepare for them to make sure that
their patients are safe. And on that note, they didn’t fail me. Both Alex
and John supported me along the way.

I’m 5 weeks pregnant when I started the process. The first 2 days were
smooth. This was the part when the Mife is put to work. I ate light meals
and did fasting for the Mife to work and to prepare my body for the next
step of the procedure. I followed every single thing and I was on schedule.
I know John and Alex were also busy handling other patients like me so I
took the initiative to report everything I’ve done based on the
instructions. John would eventually reply and kept reminding me of the next
steps.

The 3rd day came and it’s the most crucial part of the procedure. I did
this on my rest day. Originally, my sched to put Miso on my V was 8pm but
something happened that changed the usual procedure. At 6am I started to
feel cramps and I started bleeding. It was like having a period on its
first day. John advised me to observe the bleeding. After lunch, I felt a
big lump of blood gushed out and told John about it. He said that early
cramps and bleeding were the signs that I will have to take Miso earlier
than scheduled. I skipped the part where I will have to put the Miso on my
V and do the pillow maneuver because it will be useless since blood will
only push the meds out. At that time I felt like I’m urinating pee but it’s
not. It’s blood. John assured me its normal so I don’t have to worry. I
took buccal Miso at 2pm as advised. Took a rest and waited. I still felt
blood coming out. At 3:55pm, i checked my diaper and saw something on it.
Took it out and washed off the excess blood. put it on a tissue with 5peso
coin beside it, took a picture and sent it to Alex. At 4pm, my cramps were
getting intensed tho I knew pain was part of the process. But it was too
uncomfortable so John told me to swallow the remaining miso without water
then after 10 minutes, I took ibuprofen with 1 cup of water. At 6pm took
the 2nd batch of buccal miso.

Results came out based on the photo I sent. I was happy when John announced
that I’m officially NOT PREGNANT. The procedure ended earlier as expected.
Based on initial schedule, the procedure should end at 6am on Day 4, but I
ended mine at 7pm of Day 3. It may not be applicable to everyone as we are
all different. Like what John told me and to the others, every patient is
unique. I was thankful and glad that it went smoothly and successfully
without any complications. Once again, thank you so much John and Alex for
making it possible for women like me who needs help in this type of
situation. Words are not enough to express my gratitude to both of you. I
just hope that you’ll be able to help more women and couples when things go
way out of their plans.
