It’s been more than a month now since I did the procedure with you Project486. It was a rollercoaster ride of emotions and it wasn’t as easy as everyone thinks And I’m here to share my story.

After a month of not having my period, I decided to have a PT which came out positive immediately> I really didn’t know how to feel, I was in shock. My partner and I talked about it and of course both of us are shocked by the situation in which we aren’t ready mentally and financially.

I searched everything about abortion in google and even tried to go to some OB GYNE and asked them if they prescribe the meds or do the procedure (abortion) in every private clinic I went to and said NO. Then I realized that in the Philippines it’s illegal. I thought it was simply going to the hospital and going to a doctor which I can buy/prescribe me pills/meds from but NO it was not.

While searching on the internet, I saw a comment on a topic about abortion saying ” project 486 helped me” then I searched about it and saw different articles and stories/testimonies which made me feel comfort. Then I emailed them ASAP after reading. I was anxiously waiting for their response so when Alex sent an email back I responded ASAP. Then I was able to talk with Dr.John. He explained everything over the phone. Discuss everything before letting me decide if I want to proceed. I trusted him and decided to do the procedure .Hindi ganun kadali mag decide promise madami-dami kang iisipin but when you got to talked with Dr.John he will make you feel safe and comfortable and he will not judge you on your decision)

After getting the medicines I decided to do the procedure ASAP, I took the first and second day medicines which I didn’t feel anything parang normal lang but it really depends iba iba ang effect sa isa’t isa.

On the last day it was really difficult because I just went on a trip and pag uwi I did the 3rd day procedure. I have everything ready. I did the process while my partner was with me for the entire procedure from the day we decided to do it.

After 1 hour of taking Miso I started to feel heavy cramps in my abdominal area. Then after another hour I can’t really help but to ask Dr. John if I could take the Advil for the pain then he said yes. After taking the Advil nawala yung cramps,I fell asleep and I woke up after an hour and felt like too much blood was coming out like water inside me when I was lying down. Then again after an hour I felt something come out which I could feel then I went to the bathroom and checked there was the POC and which was the result of successfully completing the procedure.

Throughout the procedure even AFTER the procedure Dr. John will be there to guide you, just don’t forget to update him on every single thing that is happening to you, even the little things. PROJECT486 has a great mission on helping women who aren’t ready to become a parent and who are in need in situations like mine. For that I want to say Thank you and I’m grateful for Project486! 🙂
